Let’s start at the beginning. 7 years ago I met the Arctic Monkeys in a dank cellar under a bar called the Boardwalk, where they were playing a secret gig to about 30 mates. The sound was terrible, the atmosphere amazing. We got chatting and from that point embarked on an ongoing documentation project of key moments in the bands career. It kicked off with this. The band’s first ever music video was Zerobelow’s first ever music promo. I’m immensely proud of this video, it was never meant to be anything other than a laugh and something to accompany the limited 7” release. The world had other plans. Whenever it comes on MTV it transports me back to the shoot and those early days and makes me smile.
